S.O.S

OK, so while I know I need to post about what I've been doing, I'm just gonna give ya'll the run down of where I've been staying and then tell you about Mr. Skeezy.

On Sunday and Monday nights I stayed by my friend Alexis in Hebrew U dorms. The dorms are really nice (Touro people should consider being jealous) and it was cool to visit another college campus. Highlights of the trip include: Yad Vashem, chilling with Alexis, and getting free dinner!

Tuesday and Wednesday nights I went to the yeshuv Kochav Yaakov, where I stayed by the sweetest family-- friends of a friend-- it was just great. What was cool is that the mom runs the Jerusalem branch of Jews For Judaism. Highlights include: Learning why Isaiah 53 is not the "forbidden book", as well as going to a live taping of Tuesday Night Live (not, endorsing, didn't really like it, but thought it was cool to be in a live taping. Plus the band was pretty good).

Thursday night was craziness by Shevs. But first I had dinner with Z&L and Sammy. Plus I started crocheting my beret!

Shabbat was spent in Beit Shemesh by the Wolickis. I have had a great time everytime I've gone there. They are awesomnacious!

Sat night I slept by my friend Becky, and from there I went to Be'er Sheva, with a pit stop by Z&L for clothes and lunch (Thanks for feeding me all the time!)

So Mr. Skeezy... Last night my friend Revi (who I am visiting in Ben Gurion U) went to a pre pruim party. After the party Revi stopped to admire some guy's costume and he decided to start walking with us. Thing is, the whole night I saw him at the party and I was like, 'he's kinda odd" He didn't smile alot, walking around stiff faced. And granted he was wearing a suit, but to sooooo be into his costume? So Revi and I decide to stop for a milk shake and Mr. Skeezy joins us. Also to throw into the picture is that I had trouble understanding him because of his accent. So he's telling me how I should make Aliyah because it's a mitzvah. And commenting on how high my level of kashrut is. Revi and I looked at each other and were like "let's drink fast and get the heck out of here." Then we did the "call from a friend to come help her", except that one of her friends needed us for that excuse, so we kinda helped each other. So swiftly we asked for the check, very quickly said "goodbye, nice meeting you" and got the heck out of there!
