french? swiss?

so i subbed today, only i was there the WHOLE day, cuz the reg morning teacher was sick. so at dismissal, i was talking to mrs. melka in french (yes she's french) and mr. green the english teacher was like "wow you guys sound so cool." so mrs. melka was like "yeah, she could pass as french" and i'm like "no i couldn't i don't talk half as quickly as i should" so she said i should say i'm swiss.
oh i have to say the story of yisroels b-day present. so yisroel comes home from shopping with my mom and asks me if he could give me my b-day present. so he hands me this pendant that obviously is broken off some chain. i was like "this is so nice, where did you find it?" "oh it was on the floor of Stop and Shop" was my answer.

substitution?

so i got to play substitute teacher today. NO the kids didn't pull pranks on me, but then again they were 3 and 4 yr olds. bli ayin harah, all the kids in new haven are beyond adorable. it was fun. oh and i subbed for like half an hour for middle beit sefer (my sisters class- she was soooooo embarressed) it was weird. i ate lunch with them, and i felt like i was back in middle myself.
all in all what i discovered today, was that i love teaching 3-4yr olds. so now i odn't what my major will be. ugh why is college full of such big decisions?

shabbos

so B"H i had a great shabbos! it was beyond cool. first of all, there was a rockin shalom zachor fri night. the place was soooooo packed, i barley moved the whole 3 hrs i was there! and of course being devorah (the proud new mom) she untraditionaly stayed up for the whole shalom zachor.
so then shabbos day was the bris. the baby is sooooo cute. and it was the mohels first shabbos bris, so it was exciting (i was staying at the mohels house. for those of you who know him, it was dovi greer) the baby's name is bentzion kacenburg. there's been alota boys in new haven this season.
sat night (a couple of hours ago) was spent with sheva in stellas. there pizza is beyond excellent.
so that's about it. all i need to do right now is work on my life! easy job huh?

so i want to post cuz it's the proper thing to do in this day and age. however i really have nothign amusing to put up here.
oh yeah, THE PYTHONS TOTALLY ROCKED!
so anyways, i noticed today, that like at least for me there has been at least 3 weeks of hype for x-mas, but then you know what it's like over in one day. kinda sad, that there's all this hype for one lousy day. almost like a birthday. like i was all hyped up for my 18th b-day, and then when it came, sure it was fun, but i wasn't that into it. i was just happy to finally be 18! (yes i still get excited about that) (oh and no, i haven't had time to learn how to drive yet)
so i'm gonna go do something of more importance right now.

so nothing really happened this shabbos, because no one was here, although junior cong. wasn't too traumatizing. so after an uninteresting shabbos, i spent my saturday night at a totally hip hangout- i babysat.

th th th that's all folks. my first official semester at NCC is finally over. and not a moment too soon. see in my mind, i was already on break for a while, except that i hadn't done my finals yet. well i've taken my finals. history was ok, i think my final grade will still be in the mid to high 90's.
my chem final was surprisingly easier than i thought it would be. well actually, i shouldn't say that in case i jinx something. but i deffinitely felt comfortable doing alot more of the problems, than i thought i could.
now all that's left is for me to ocnquer the world! mwahahahaha!
or, just become even better at smiling and saying "would you like this wrapped in a box or a bag?" and "is it a holiday gift? what color ribbon wuld you like?"
can you tell i realy DO enjoy my job.
my hands are cold. and i'm babysitting Benji tonight. i like playing with benji, our maturity levels really coincide sometimes.
anyways, i'm gonna go check other peoples posts, i just wanted to let you know that you can congradulate me on completing my first semester in college.

stupid paper

an intelligent person's stupid paper, as opposed to a stupid person's intelligent paper.

this is what my mom and i have agrred my history paper needs to be inorder foor me to pass my history final. and YES i am procrastinating right now. i hate finals. i mean tests are ok. but after i've all ready had a week off, why do i now want to force myself to study stuff i have hated all along? this goes twice for my chem final. i mean ewww chem!
so i gotta go back to writing my intelligently stupid paper.

gone with the wind!

so i'm sitting here on the computer, feeling like i should write something cute and funny for i, rivkah, and cute and funny. i think it's a thing short people usually have going for them they are or should be really cute and funny. i mean tall people are gorgeous, and if they aren't fat they are known as willowly. take it from me, a short person could never ever even dream of being called willowy.
so here i am sitting and listening to monty python. they totally rocked! and by the way, always look on the bright side of life.
and other stuff like that.
so my right hand has been really cold lately. it's like no matter what i do with it, it totally freezes and stuff. but my left hand is totally fine. weird huh?
um.. in other news. today i gift wrapped, and rang people. oh some lady came in and bought all these x-mas gifts, and all these b-day party favors. she totally spent over $400 with out blinking and eye. i mean, i spent $90 one day an was all freaked out that i spent so much money. wow is all i can say.
so that was the big story of the day, oh also that i saw rachel dayan. and there was a new girl who had spent the past 6 months in australia, how cool is that?

today is totally a magenta day.

Finals

so my finals are thursday. today is basically my only day to study. and what have i done so far? um... well... yeah so suffice it to say, let's hope i do well anyways. i mean would you be all excited to study for your chem final? face it finals are the worst. i mean evenquiz are cheery little daffodilswhen compared to finals. whose idea was it really to put students through this torture?
the good news is that after thursday i can work more hours at the store and make more money!
so i have just wasted my funny random moment on an e-mail to my funny random friend. mabye i'll just copy and paste my random moment here:

Today, a Day for All Days!

So in my mind i documented, lotsa stories to post on my blog, to make you all feel as if you could really see what i do all day. alas i have completely forgotten any thing that happened today. however, i feel i should note that Lis came into the store today, but we didn't have more than time for a quick "hi i know you" kinda acknowledgement. we were busy busy busy little bees all day long, wrapping and other stuff.
in other news: um... let's see... nothing really happened today, aside from work. it is now consuming my very being. which on the one hand is great, cuz hey you know it's good to keep busy, but on the other hand, i really have no idea as to what happened in the past couple of days. ok actually there were a couple of noteworthy moments, but i am not writing them here cuz i just don't want to. (e-mail me if you are incredible interested in finding out what i thought was noteworthy) so b4 i fall over, i will sign off, and i will try to write sometihng nice and perky, when i am in my nice and perky mode.
so what color ribbon did you want tied around that package? is it a holiday gift? we have red, green, white, blue, silver, and pink, and it's an extra $2.95 for gift wrapping.

post?

so i'm gonna pretend to post, but not really write anything cuz i'm tired, and need a shower, and need to wake up early tomorrow, and need to babysit and learn with someone tomorrow, and we went out for my b-day and it took a long time, and i didn't actually have my cheesecake yet cuz it wasn't ready even though it was ordered on tuesday, and so yeah. i'm sorry this is such a blah post, but i'm gonna go was my oily hair.

B-day

So, it's finally here! my secular birthday. now i can do things like smoke, buy lottery tickets, drive w/o a permit, work with out any issues of working papers. YEAH!!!
so anyways, don't forget to wish me a happy birthday. (if you forget you can always wish me one on the sunday before chanukah/x-mas)

my mind is like a seive, with out the metal!

so yesterday, after she dropped me off, Shani told me she was going to come into the story to visit me, she just needed to park. of course, i completely forgot she was coming in, so when i saw her later, i was like "oh look Shani came to visit me" and then i remembered that she had just dropped me off, and had just been parking.
also Benji, who is the cutest 2 yr old on this planet, got kinda confused seeing me behind the counter. then he kept coming over to me to show me cards, and talk about them. his mom would take them away, but 2 seconds later, Benji would be back jabbering about the same card.
today is my last day of classes for this semester, and it's only review in both classes!!!
i'll let you know how finals go, on thursday dec 15.
oh yeah, and my b-day is thursday dec 8. I'll be 8, so e/o watch out for the new granny driver on the roads.

Work

so today was my first day on the job. of course i wore my high heeled boots. OW! my feet are in such pain, I'm soaking them as i write this. from now on, you will only see me working in blue tulip in flats. besides my feet, my first day was pretty good. not as hard as i thought it would be, and by the time i finish i will be a wiz at gift wrapping. though my manager told me i'll be learning how to use the register this week. the other girls there are nice, and fun to work with, which is awesome. and, get this, i get a 35% discount, with an extra 10% on tuesdays (or maybe only this tuesday) so praise the Lord everyone.

Bowling!

Bowling is incredibly awesome. I went tonite with jr. NCSYers, it was so much fun. i learned how to do the robot, and that i really am incapable of raising only one eyebrow (drat).
oh, and if you ever need info on s/o or s/t, just set a discreet little kid, who can keep a secret on your case.
